Marilyn Waring: The Political Years

I designed the cover and internal system of Marilyn Waring: The Political Years, autobiographical account of Waring’s extraordinary years in parliament. 

Deceptively simple, this cover was an exercise in balance, respecting a fantastic visual through highlighting Marilyn Waring as the only woman without hackneyed symbolism, and it had to be a contemporary piece of design.

The beautiful front cover of this book … A wonderful piece of design … with a thin red line coming down from Marilyn and dividing the title
