Gabriela Mistral was a well-known Chilean poet, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1945. This unique book of 27 poems for younger readers both from Chile and the world brings her work closer to a New Zealand audience, with the poems appearing in Spanish, te reo Māori and English. It is published to celebrate the relationship between Aoteaora New Zealand and Chile and to share Mistral’s work with a new audience. Produced by Massey University Press and the Chilean Embassy. Translations by Jessica Sequeira, Leonel Alvarado and Hone Morris.
